Spreading Fall Cheer: Our Visit to the Beloved Brown & Hopkins Country Store

Nestled in the heart of Historic Chepachet, Rhode Island, a timeless gem stands the test of time – the Brown & Hopkins Country Store. Established in 1809, this charming store has been a beacon of community, tradition, and unique treasures for generations. With an extensive selection of seasonal goods that cater to the soul and senses, it's earned its place as a beloved small-town institution. Walking through the doors of Brown & Hopkins is like stepping into a living piece of history. Its rich nostalgia is evident in every creak of the wooden floorboards and the warm smiles of the staff.

As local business owners ourselves, we appreciate the unique effort required to maintain the enduring charm of such a place with each visit. Over a crisp fall weekend, we visited Brown & Hopkins to share in some of the seasonal cheer with our neighbors. We gathered some of our coziest autumnal socks and a bountiful selection of pumpkins from our garden to display at the store. The first 15 customers using our secret phrase ("Country Pumpkin") received a complimentary pair of socks.  This was a fun trip  for us to pay it forward and hopefully inspires other businesses to support each other in their community.

For those who can't make the journey to this charming country store, Brown & Hopkins offers an extensive selection of goods online. Their website is a reflection of the care and dedication that has gone into building this beloved institution. It allows you to browse and purchase their wide range of products from the comfort of your own home. Check out our day in the video posted below!
